X‑Pro2 Street Photography POV in 2026 – Why I Didn’t Buy the X100VI

Everyone is talking about the Fujifilm X100VI. I just bought the older X-Pro2 instead — and took it out for a street photography POV to show you why. In 2026, do you really need the X100VI for street photography? Here's my honest answer. --- I've been shooting street photography with the Fujifilm X-Pro2 for a while now. With all the hype around the X100VI, I wanted to be sure I made the right call — so I took it out for a full POV walk and let the photos speak for themselves. What I love about the X-Pro2 for street: – Real physical dials you can forget about while shooting – Being able to swap lenses – Optical viewfinder that lets you see outside the frame and anticipate moments – A size and shape that makes you invisible on the street – A look that I haven't been able to replicate with anything newer – A lower pricetag Is the Fujifilm X100VI a better camera? maybe for some people. But for how I do street photography, the X-Pro2 still does everything I need — and I'd rather spend that money on actually going out to photograph.
