Teeth should be brushed twice a day, once after breakfast and once before bedtime, for three minutes each time, using a medium-bristle toothbrush. The tongue should be brushed immediately after each brushing or whenever needed during the day; it should not be scraped. Zinc-based, alcohol-free mouthwash can be used.
