V11E2: Cold Snap in Ancient Colorado

The week kicks off at the onset of sudden cold weather on the southwestern border of Colorado, and the Webasto heater gets put to good use! I explore Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, and marvel at the historic structures and archeological sites therein. Business takes me to the city of Durango, where I enjoy a hike that overlooks a city, followed by pizza. Adventures are thwarted by a misplaced gas cap, upon revisiting Canyons of the Ancients, where I explore a vibrant overland route, and enjoy a scenic hike through Sandstone Canyon. The week concludes in a picturesque chasm high in San Juan National Forest.
