This star is a Christmas symbol that one encounters everywhere in December. But what is its story? Did this star really exist? In this presentation, planetarium director Dr. Björn Voss explains, in a way that is easy to understand even for those without prior knowledge, the possible explanations for the "Star of Bethlehem." The presentation concludes with a surprising discovery: Just before Christmas, this year only, you can actually see a kind of "Star of Bethlehem" live in the night sky. During Christmas week 2020, the planets Jupiter and Saturn appear as two bright points of light in the evening sky, remarkably close together; in good weather, an impressive sight.
