How to draft trousers (jeans) pattern in Valentina/Seamly2D

#Valentina #PatternDrafting #Tutorial #Trousers #BasicBlock In this video I draft a jean foundation using instructions from "Patternmaking for Fashion Design" by Helen Joseph Armstrong. This is a basic foundation with a back crotch extension and a shorter front. It can be modified for making different jean pants variations. I drafted this pattern in Valentina, but you can use the same instructions for Seamly2D (some tools have different names, some features are missing and I don't recommend using S2D on Mac). To make it easier to follow, the video has been made in a real time speed with zooming in to pop up boxes with the used formulas. I describe all the steps in the subtitles. The instructions were originally made with inches in formulas, I use both centimetres and inches.
