What does a professional triathlete actually do in the gym? This fourth discipline is a very individual thing. For quite a while, I completely skipped strength and stability training and still achieved good results. However, the level of competition in the professional ranks is constantly increasing, and we're all searching for those "marginal gains," which is why I've added strength training to my routine twice a week this season. Injury prevention and, hopefully, a performance boost through improved efficiency and power transfer.
