4th WeBER Regional Conference: Introductory Speeches and IN THE SPOTLIGHT Panel

Milena Mihajlović Denić (CEP, WeBER Team Leader) opened the conference by marking ten years of WeBER and outlining the project's evolution into a regional civil-society monitoring mechanism. H.E. Andreas von Beckerath (EU Ambassador to Serbia) and Goran Minchev (North Macedonia's Minister of Public Administration) then delivered keynote remarks on the role of civil society in public administration reform and EU accession, alongside video remarks from Marash Dukaj and an address from Gregor Virant (OECD/SIGMA). In the Spotlight: Human-Centric Design of Public Services in the Western Balkans Njomza Arifi (GLPS), Simonida Kacarska (EPI), and Milena Mihajlović Denić (CEP) gave elevator pitches on their organisations' WeBER Policy Lab experiences in human-centred service design. A panel discussion followed with Ninoslav Kekić, Marcela Kërëku, Bruno Monteiro (OECD/SIGMA), Bojana Bajić, and Ana Jeličić, moderated by Valentina Čolić Mihajlović (FEFA Faculty).
