France is more than Paris | Cliffs Of Étretat | Normandy

The cliffs of Étretat hit different in person A 4K cinematic travel film from the Normandy coast in France. We hiked the south cliff trail at Étretat, watched the light shift over the chalk cliffs, and caught a sunset we didn't plan for at all. Étretat sits on the Alabaster Coast, about two hours from Paris. The cliffs are chalk — same geological formation as the White Cliffs of Dover across the Channel. There are two hiking routes from the beach: north toward the Falaise d'Amont, and south toward the Falaise d'Aval and L'Aiguille — the famous Needle rock. We took the south trail. The further out we walked, the fewer people there were, until it was just us and the wind. Then the sun dropped into the sea and the colours shifted into something we weren't ready for.
