Despite these apparently beautiful attributes, an increasing number of young people growing up in suburban environments spend time of their youth in prison. This documentary intends to examine the reason why youth in Fiji get on the wrong side of the law. Apparently the health and structure of family relationships plays a crucial role. We follow young Peni in his journey to fulfil his dream of finishing high school education and becoming a carpenter. How important is the relationship with his father in this journey towards a better future? Will Peni be able to overcome the odds that are statistically stacked against him? His daily journey is propelled by a great Love for Freedom and struggle against poverty, but will he be able to liberate himself from the Prison within?
