I Tested Which Games Are ACTUALLY Best for Learning Japanese

Trying to learn Japanese without studying? A lot of people say to "just immerse, bro," or to "just go play games in Japanese"... so I actually tested it. There are a lot of do's and don'ts to immersion, and not all games are created equal. Some make it surprisingly easy to absorb new words and grammar patterns. Others just feel productive without actually moving the needle. In this video, I tested a range of games to see which ones are genuinely effective for learning Japanese — breaking down what makes certain games better for immersion, vocabulary acquisition, and overall comprehension. I also cover Tadoku, Seidoku, and Sokudoku, and where games actually fit into each approach. Whether you're a beginner looking for your first immersion content or an intermediate learner trying to make progress without turning it into homework, this should give you a clear direction on what's actually worth your time.
