In Villarcayo, M.C.V. presented a lecture on honey production by bees since ancient times, focusing on the traditional apiaries of the province of Burgos. The lecture, titled "The Dujo," explored how the apiary's many forms have been shaped by time and adaptation to the environment. It was given by Juanjo Asensio, a member of the Oxígeno Foundation. The lecture addressed the ethnographic, environmental, and cultural value of these traditional structures linked to beekeeping in Las Merindades and other areas of Burgos, highlighting their importance as part of rural heritage.
