Part 3. Russian powerlifting star Kirill Sarychev joined the Sovsport.ru studio for the "Fitness Hour" program. The 26-year-old currently weighs 170 kg and can bench press 326 kg raw. He is the Russian and European champion in this discipline, and is 1.5 kg shy of Eric Spoto's world record. Kirill answered readers' questions about the optimal number of bench press sets per workout, how to avoid injury, and why it's important to find the positive in every little thing. He explained how to combat joint problems, how to train the lats, why strong abs are important, and how powerlifters should remember them. Kirill also discussed the World Raw Powerlifting Federation, which he founded, its goals, objectives, and standards. He also discussed how to motivate foreigners to participate in Russian competitions: sport unites. Where can a powerlifter buy scales? How can you tell the difference between a bodybuilder, a weightlifter, and a powerlifter by appearance? If you're wearing clothes, the powerlifter will be eating a bun, while the bodybuilder will be eating chicken breast and crying. The weightlifter will be on the sidelines – there's training camp and everything is rigorous.
