Will a Ratchet Adapter on a Drill start your Engine? YES, but a word of CAUTION!
A 3/8 drive ratchet adapter will indeed work with your cordless drill to start your outdoor power equipment engine, but be careful. The centrifugal force applied to the adapter at the moment the engine fires off will engage the rotary switch to the "lock" position, in effect turning the ratchet adapter into a "direct drive" unit.
