Murdaugh Prosecutors Lost WHAT Before the Retrial?!

Prosecutors spent twelve and a half hours presenting financial crimes testimony at the first Alex Murdaugh murder trial. Stolen money, defrauded clients, insurance fraud, a man whose professional life was a lie. The jury convicted in under three hours. The South Carolina Supreme Court just said that presentation was excessive and prejudicial — and told prosecutors the retrial has to look completely different. So now Creighton Waters has to prove the same double murder without the narrative that made Alex Murdaugh look like a monster before the jury ever weighed the physical evidence. No murder weapon. No confession. No eyewitness. No DNA tying Alex to the killings. The case is circumstantial, anchored by the kennel video and the lie he told about being there. On top of that, the AG’s office is now considering the death penalty for the first time. Attorney General Alan Wilson says the legal landscape changed because South Carolina can carry out executions again. The defense calls it political leverage. Criminal defense attorney Bob Motta breaks down whether the prosecution can still win this case — and what happens if they can’t. Tony Brueski, Robin Dreeke, and Bob Motta.
