LIRR M7 Port Washington Express Train Ride Within NYC Limits: Bayside to Grand Central

Taken on 6/15/26. Video onboard a 10-Car M7 Set operating on Port Washington Branch Train 463 to Grand Central, on the section between Bayside and Grand Central. This train is the only reverse-peak express train on the Port Washington Branch, operating express between Bayside and Mets - Willets Point. It skips Auburndale, Broadway, Murray Hill, and Flushing. This trip was unplanned for me, since I did not initially plan on taking this train. Was looking forward to film the added 11:18 AM departure from LIC (Montauk Branch Train 8) due to the US Open. It was a train which skipped Hunterspoint Ave. Unfortunately in typical MTA fashion, both the train crew AND yard crew were completely unaware of the enhanced schedule. So the train crew departed from Track 1 (yard track with no platform) and left without those waiting on the platform. Since the ticket expires the same day I looked to see what other trips to take, otherwise I wasted money for no reason. Usually avoid filming on M7s because of the horrendous window situation (which was the case on this trip) although luckily it was manageable in this particular case.
