Stefon Diggs' Lawyer Questions Accuser In Criminal Assault Trial — Entire Day 1 Cross-Exam
Mila Adams worked as a personal chef for NFL star Stefon Diggs when he played for the New England Patriots last year. She went to the Dedham Police Department headquarters on Dec. 16 and told an officer Diggs assaulted her on Dec. 2 in her bedroom at his home after a text message argument. Sara Silva of Silva, Kettlewell & Pignatelli LLP in Boston cross-examined Adams today (Monday, May 4), the first day of Diggs' strangulation and assault trial in Dedham District Court. She'll continue on Tuesday. Do you agree with me?" "Yes." 02:58 "You were angry at Stefon on December 2 because you were told you couldn't go?" "I was angry at Stefon because we were friends. He told me at the last minute I could not go to Art Basel." "And yet, when you walked into the police station on December 16, you said you had been having an ongoing text exchange over money owed to you." "Yes, money owed to me after I asked Mr. Diggs on December the second, when can I get paid." 05:58 "I also didn't put in a police report our sexual relationship because I was ashamed." 08:10 "he last text exchange was me saying you need to pay me out for the rest of the season. I'm out of your life. Give me the money for my business. In that order, that was the last text exchange his response to me..." 13:14 "you post things on your social media account." "I'm not as active I should be." "You don't use your iPhone to take videos or pictures for that not." "I'm not a very active person on social media." "I see, but you certainly had a phone in your room when you claim you were violently assaulted and injured, right?" "That has nothing to do or justify the reason I was attacked." "A yes or no question, ma'am." "Yes, I had a phone. " 18:20 "Stef supposedly put his forearm around your neck." "Stef did put his forearm on it, not his hand." "No, okay, but you told Officer Ellis he used his hand, didn't you?" "I told him he used ... the crook of his elbow." 20:29 "He takes hits from 300 pound men, right? For his job, true?" "I guess." "Do you know that?" "No, I don't know what his role is." "And I thought he ran the ball. I don't know if people. I'm not sure what he does." "How many games that Stef Diggs has played in? Have you attended?" "I don't know football. I don't watch it. To know what, what. ... I'm just there for the vibes." 30:54 "Ms Adams, were you able to see that person in that video?" "A little bit." 35:24 "And then you also had some videos taken of you by Tali while you were in New York, right?" "I don't remember. I don't recall." 38:21 "and Ms Adams, I'd just ask you to look at those and tell me if that's a fair and accurate representation of you from the week you spent in New York that day?" "Yes." "On December 6, 2025" "Yes." 40:25 "a text exchange you had with him at around 1230 on December 2, where you called him a pussy, right?" "Yes." "And then he said, Show me I'm pussy. " 44:32 "hen you got in the house, you went and knocked on Stef's bedroom door." "I want to put my things away. And I knocked on his door." 51:30 "Do you recognize that document as text messages between you and sunny?" "Yes." 01:00:56 "you admit that you were apologizing to him about December 2 your behavior, don't you?" "I was being nice to Stefon to get back in his good graces, to get paid." 01:02:46 "Next question, you didn't have any employment contract or anything?" "Yes, we did." "Did you sign a written employment contract?" "We had a verbal text contract." "Okay." "You didn't have to interview with anyone to get the job, right? "He knew my skills." 01:07:49 "And that was your invoice, right?" "Yes." "And you said on that invoice dated December 1, right?" "Yes, that you were owed payment of $2,000 for three three weeks in November, right?" "Yes." "And you were owed grocery reimbursement for $3,179.06 right?" "Yes." 01:11:09 "You knew on December 9 that you had been paid for two of the three weeks you said you hadn't been paid for, didn't you?" "I don't, I can't. I don't understand the question." 01:16:11 "you knew that you needed to submit, submit receipts to justify that level of expense on groceries?" "I swear I did. Yes." "Is it your testimony here under oath, that you submitted receipts justifying $3,179.06 spent on groceries out of your money?" "It was, um, it was messed up. They were my was off. Something was off. Some receipts were the wrong receipt, and we cleared it up." 01:19:51 "and you write to Stef on December 13, 2025, you sitting here playing in my face? It's 7100 some comments and none saying you effing Lindsay" 01:23:26 "You had a fight with Stefon Diggs on December 2, over text about Lindsay and a blog and him believing Lindsay, not about money, right?" "It was about money."
