"Opera e Cinema” - Quintetto fiati S. Cecilia - Tonhalle @ Teatro Bellini

Andrea Oliva, flauto Francesco Di Rosa, oboe Calogero Palermo, clarinetto Guglielmo Pellarin, corno Andrea Zucco, fagotto Musiche di Giulio Briccialdi, Georges Bizet, George Gershwin, Ezio Bosso, Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota.   Il Quintetto di fiati è composto da musicisti italiani di fama internazionale che attualmente fanno parte dell’orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, dell’orchestra della Tonhalle di Zurigo e docenti al Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana e RNCM di Manchester. I cinque musicisti hanno collaborato con le più importanti orchestre interanzionali come i Berliner Philharmoniker, i Bayerischer Staatsorchester, quella del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, la Lucerne Festival Orchestra, l’Orchestre National de France, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, la Human Rights Orchestra e la Chicago Symphony e si sono esibiti sui principali principali palcoscenici del mondo come quello del Musikverein di Vienna, il Concertgebouw di Amsterdam, la Suntory Hall di Tokyo, Salle Pleyel di Parigi, Royal Albert Hall di Londra, Carnegie Hall di New York. Il quintetto di fiati, equivalente per importanza al quartetto d’archi, rappresenta per i fiati la formazione più completa a livello sonoro e più ricca di repertorio; l’idea del gruppo è ricreare con questa eterogenea formazione tutta la ricchezza dei timbri orchestrali, valorizzando le esperienze professionali e le personalità individuali dei componenti, che sono stati premiati in prestigiosi concorsi internazionali: ARD, Kobe, Jugendmusik Wettbewerb di Zurigo e Jeunessesmusicales di Bucarest. Il valore aggiunto dell’ensemble risiede nella speciale intesa musicale nata dalla frequentazione quotidiana, dalla profonda stima reciproca e dal rapporto di amicizia che lega i suoi componenti; l’esperienza orchestrale, la passione per la musica da camera e un attento senso dell’ascolto confluiscono così in un progetto che affronta il repertorio con rigore, libertà espressiva e autentico piacere di fare musica insieme. ----- The wind quintet is composed of internationally renowned Italian musicians who are currently members of the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Tonhalle Orchestra in Zurich, and faculty at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana and the RNCM in Manchester. The five musicians have collaborated with some of the world’s leading orchestras, including the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Bayerischer Staatsorchester, the Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Human Rights Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. They have performed on the world’s most prestigious stages, such as the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Salle Pleyel in Paris, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and Carnegie Hall in New York. The wind quintet, equivalent in importance to the string quartet, represents for wind instruments the most complete ensemble in terms of sound and the richest in repertoire. The idea behind the group is to recreate, through this diverse formation, the full richness of orchestral timbres, enhancing the professional experience and individual personalities of its members, who have won prizes in prestigious international competitions such as the ARD, Kobe, Jugendmusik Wettbewerb in Zurich, and Jeunesses Musicales in Bucharest. The ensemble’s added value lies in the special musical understanding born of daily collaboration, deep mutual respect, and the bond of friendship among its members. Their orchestral experience, passion for chamber music, and refined sense of listening come together in a project that approaches the repertoire with rigor, expressive freedom, and a genuine joy in making music together.
