In this video I explain to you how you can make Italian hot chocolate yourself. You can find the recipe for Cioccolata Calda in the description below. Your family is guaranteed to love this drink! Ingredients for two small cups: 250 ml whole milk 60 g finely grated or chopped chocolate (recommendation: 20 g chocolate with 99% cocoa content, 40 g milk chocolate) 10 g sugar (2 teaspoons) 10 g cocoa powder (3 heaped teaspoons - this is the cocoa powder that is also used for baking cakes and not the instant cocoa powder for ready-made drinks) 10 g cornstarch (3 heaped teaspoons) Preparation: 1.) Put sugar in a cup, sieve in cocoa powder and cornstarch. 2.) Add some milk to the mixture and mix it into a lump-free sauce. 3.) Heat the rest of the milk in a saucepan. 4.) As soon as the milk is warm, add some of it to the sauce and stir well. This makes the sauce thinner and less ingredients remain in the cup when you add the mixture to the hot milk. 5.) Add the mixture to the hot milk and stir well until the liquid starts to bubble. 6.) As soon as the liquid has boiled (i.e. bubbles), add the chocolate in one go and stir quickly until the chocolate has melted. Don't forget to turn off the stove in between! 7.)
