Canyoning in Greece - Kalithea (Καλλιθέας) & Skoupeikos / Agios Loukas, Ελληνικό, Peloponnese

Probably the most famous canyon of the Peloponnese, and with good reason. There is flowing water throughout the year, which sets it apart from most other canyons in this area of Greece. The canyon starts in the commercially guided section, which consists mostly of hiking until it gets pretty towards the end. Kalithea is definitely the more impressive of the two canyons. The riverbed is very soft and silty, which clouds the water as soon as you come in contact with it. It also makes it hard to scope out water depth. Some anchors are a bit weird in their placement, but all in all not bad. The exit is by far the scariest part of the canyon, I don't know who thought it was a good idea to put those bendy guard rails there, but at about 90 kg they did not feel sturdy enough at all.
