SMART Commuter Train in California's San Francisco Bay Area

SMART, short for Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit, is a commuter train service in the north San Francisco Bay Area. As of early 2025, trains operate on a 45 mile long route between Santa Rosa and Larkspur, making a total of 13 station stops. There are plans to expand the route by another 25 miles to the north as far as Cloverdale, California. In this video, we will explore the SMART rail system, following the train along the route from the Sonoma County Airport Station to Larkspur and return.
