American steel guitarist John Hughey was born December 27, 1933 in Elaine, Arkansas. He performed for 20 years with Conway Twitty & 12 years with Vince Gill. He was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 1996. He died on November 18th, 2007.
