Starsailor is an English post-Britpop band formed in 2000, consisting of guitarist and vocalist James Walsh, drummer Ben Byrne, bassist James Stelfox, and keyboardist Barry Westhead. They gained recognition with hits like "Silence Is Easy" and "Four to the Floor", which achieved success in the UK and internationally. The band has released five studio albums, with their first, "Love Is Here", dropping in 2001. Following a hiatus after their fourth album, "All the Plans", the group reunited in 2014. Their greatest hits album, "Good Souls: The Greatest Hits", was released in 2015, accompanied by two new tracks. Their fifth studio album, "All This Life", came out in 2017. Starsailor's formation story revolves around members meeting while studying music and recruiting singer James Walsh from a school choir. Barry Westhead's addition on keyboards in 2000 marked a pivotal moment for the band. Renamed Starsailor, they gained attention after a notable performance at Glastonbury Festival and were signed by EMI in 2000, later moving to Virgin Records in 2008.
