This time, I tested the strength of metal bonds to repair parts from a discontinued motorcycle that is no longer available. I wanted to include DEVCON in the test, but the price has increased significantly, so I decided not to. The change shaft for the JOLCUB is currently out of production, and it was not included with the bike I purchased. It seems I was using a generic bolt with a collar attached. The change pivot plate is also out of production, so I wanted to replace the shaft with a currently available part, so I used one from a CB400. The problem with reusing them is that the shaft thread diameter is 10mm for the JOLCUB and 8mm for the CB, so I wanted to create a thread with glue so that they could be used interchangeably, but it seems that this was not possible, no matter how high-performance the glue.
