SOLO Motocamping trip through ICE and SNOW

EUPHORIA, TREASURE, MISERY - Moto camping Spring had finally started and there was quite amount of forest roads opened from the snow. I flew through the wilderness with Tenere and sunshine embraced me. Occasional puddle every now and then didn't bother me. After few hours of joyful speeding I ran into a harder section. Pools of melted water and deep areas of snow made my traveling lot harder. I pushed onwards, my feet were soaking wet and sweat ran under my helmet. Eventually I got out of that slushy hell and found back on sandy roads that led me through the landscape. Setting sun colored the sky with new colors and I enjoyed every moment. Suddenly I stumbled upon a problem. Map told me that there would be a ferry over the river ahead of me. I was quite sure that the ferry wouldn't be on service in this time of a year. It was too early spring and waters were high. I didn't have enough gas to check the situation at the river and drive to the nearest gas station if my guessing was right. Short hustling with the navigation app showed me that there was other road through the swamp area nearby. Only thing was that when I got closer that road I saw a sign. Of course I didn't read it properly and head forwards. Then there was couple of rusted booms that closed the road. I had no chance but squeeze my self and the bike through between the booms and continue my trip with a guilty feeling. It felt like the whole swamp had turned it's eyes on me and whispered and moaned curses behind my back while I rolled through the forbidden lands. On the other side there was awaiting bigger trails and paved road to the gas station... "would I make it?" I asked my self. And I did eventually. After the swamp episode I drove through rural areas to the nearest town and gas station. I topped my tank and while there was a chance I went indoors to plan next part of my route. I ordered some food and started to go through options. My feet were soaking wet and I needed a place to dry socks and other gear, so place with some kind of a fireplace wouldn't be a bad idea. Then I remembered that while ago while going through local maps I spotted a nice open hut on the top of a fell. That would be it, there I would get all my wet gear dried and sleep happily one night. Only 70km between me and a cozy night. Yeah. Evening turned into a night and the faint light of setting sun lighted my way while I rushed on endless gravel roads. I felt how the air turned cooler and cooler while the sun disappeared. My feet had felt cold for a long time, but now my fingers started to feel numb also. Finally, the crossroads nearby the section that would lead me to the hut. I rolled to the junction where the path should have started... It was covered in deep snow. The road wasn't opened during the winter... What's next? #tenere700 #motocamping #adventure #adventuremotorcycling #wilderness #forest #transeurotrail
