Rainbow Canyon | Wadi Ghub Spectrum Hike in UAE

Living in UAE more that 11 years, I can tell you that this country is not only about world-famous skyscrapers and architectural landmarks, but also home to stunning natural landscapes, from desert dunes to mountains. There are many of stunning hiking trails, especially in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. In this video I would like to show you magnificent landscape of Rainbow Canyon ( Wadi Ghub Spectrum Hike ) located in Fujairah near small village called Ghub. You can reach there by regular car and park it at the starting point ( you will see many cars parked there ). Location: https://goo.gl/maps/NmEpFnCzpo1NBzyE6 Start the hike from Wadi Ghub upwards across the farms of the wadi and within a walk of 30 mins, you will be right in front of the famed "spectrum" or layered, colourful rock formations. Given its unique look and feel, it is a "must visit" site. The trail is straight forward and all you need to do is to follow the ravine bed. You will experience substantial boulder climbing, and scrambling over smoothened rocks. You can continue walking through the wadi bed, where you will see colorful rocks in green, purple and yellow. If you want to reach until the top start hiking early morning, if you just want to visit spectrum, you may come here any time as it wont take long. Type: Round trip of total 10 km (if only till "spectrum" then 4 km ). Level: The hike is moderate. NO rope or technical skills required. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, wear hat and sunglasses.
