How I made Mima Kirigoe's Cham Outfit from Perfect Blue

There are days when we just want to put everything together and have it all finished. Well this one wasn't too hard and I wanted to make something extremely cute but I didn't know what. My brother wanted to watch Perfect Blue over Christmas... random thought I know but we watched it. I forgot how crazy this movie was. The writing, the art style, the acting; JUST EVERYTHING! I loved it all. I loved the way Mima transitioned from a performance idol to an actress. One of the scenes made me think OMG THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING TO HER when (as an actress myself) NO it's not really happening to her so it's amazing how much detail went into this movie. I realized I wanted to make this outfit because it was simple and looked like a quick cosplay to make. I only used materials that I had on hand so I wasn't allowed to buy anything. WHICH FAILED. I did have to go buy new thigh highs because my last pair were used to create my Star Guardian Janna thigh highs and I didn't like the gloves that I had on hand because they weren't shiny enough to match the fabric. So those were the only things I bought.. I used a wig my friend gave me and a bang clip to create the hair look. I used a red ribbon for the headband. I then used the same white material for my Star Guardian Janna top to make the dress. I used the pink material from the LA shopping haul to make the ruffles and the tiered skirt.
