In Conversation with Phil Harding

Phil Harding has been making headlines today after leading the discovery of a remarkable 5,000-year-old, solstice-aligned monument near Stonehenge. We’ve had the privilege of filming with Phil on many occasions over the years, and in our latest video he looks back on what was, at the time, one of his favourite excavations. Remarkably, this interview was filmed long before the discovery was officially published. Phil also shares fascinating insights into the excavation that inspired our Saxon Hall reconstruction, reflects on his years on Time Team, and explains how he first found his calling as an archaeologist. ▬ About Us ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Butser Ancient Farm is an open-air experimental archaeology museum and active research centre, learning about the past by recreating it.
