What Happened To This BARNFIND Engine? - Renault R5 GTL Le Car

This Renault R5 drivetrain has NOT been turned over in the past 20 years and I'm glad it hasn't! Just by looking at the engine block, there was serious neglect around this engine by the previous owner. Not only was the cylinder head removed, but it looks like every seal and gasket was leaking. I wouldn't say that is very uncommon, but just the overall appearance shows that this engine had a hard life with just over 42'000km on the clock! Despite all of the bad, I have high hopes to rebuild this drivetrain and eventually the car, to where I can comfortably drive it down the road. It might not look like it'll be on the road any time soon, but I'll do my best to put a lot of time and effort into this Renault R5.
