Different smoke detectors work with different fires
With the fires in Pullman, one can't help but think about how safe their homes are. Most people have smoke detectors, but do they know what type of smoke detector they have? There are ionization detectors, which detect heat, and photoelectric detectors, which detect smoldering fires. Tests were done to see which detectors worked best is specific situations.
