Let's Play Toy Story 2 Part 1

Wheel of Not-So-Fortune Game #11 Category: Movie Tie-in Games Here we go into game #11: Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue on the N64. Now, the main reason I'm playing this version of the game as opposed to other versions is because cartridge-based systems are easier to emulate (in case you didn't know, I emulate pretty much every retro title I play on here). And this game pretty much follows the plot of the movie through Buzz's perspective. The first level, Andy's House, begins shortly after Woody is first stolen by Al, the toy collector. Now, as for the game itself, it's essentially a 3D Platformer Collect-a-thon where you go around each level picking up Pizza Planet Tokens. Each Pizza Planet Token can be acquired in 5 ways in each level: one is always out in the open (though in some levels, you may need to do a puzzle and/or some platforming to reach it), one is given to you as a reward for completing another character's challenge, one is given to you as a reward for finding 5 of a certain collectable for any given character, one is given to you when you beat a boss fight, and one is given to you by Hamm if you find 50 coins for him. In some levels, Mr. Potato Head can be seen, and he can give you powerups to use throughout the game, but before you can acquire them, you have to return his missing body part. Now, I did 100% this first level here, but I'm not gonna be doing a 100% playthrough of this game. The first level is relatively easy compared to later levels, but later in the game, some tokens become way worse and the difficulty gets cranked up to 11. In fact, there's one puzzle later in the game that took me AN HOUR to complete, but more on that when we get to it. Next time, Andy's Neighborhood!
