Teck Lee Opens After 19 Years - SGTM Documentary #3

Date filmed: 15 August 2024 After nearly two decades of anticipation, Teck Lee LRT Station on the Punggol West LRT loop has finally opened its doors for revenue service! Originally constructed in 2005, Teck Lee remained closed due to the lack of development in the surrounding areas while the other LRT stations which were unopened were slowly opened after developments around those areas. But Teck Lee was the only LRT station in Singapore to remain closed, or so we thought. Fast forward 19 years, we see the much-anticipated opening of Teck Lee that is catered to serve the commuters another way of getting to the Punggol Digital District and also allow students to get to the new SIT@Punggol building from September onwards. Join me in this documentary video where we finally step foot into Teck Lee LRT station for the 1st time in 19 years, and exploring the surrounding of Teck Lee LRT station and its amentities with some trainspotting sessions and joyrides. With Teck Lee Opening, this means that all of the LRT stations in Singapore have opened with no more unused station.
