CSO Deploys Drones to Improve Mapping and Strengthen National Surveys
The Central Statistical Office (CSO) has introduced drone technology into its mapping operations as part of ongoing efforts to improve the accuracy and quality of official statistics in Saint Lucia. The initiative will support the CSO’s responsibility to maintain current and reliable maps used by enumerators conducting household surveys across the island. By utilizing drones, the agency will be able to capture updated imagery, identify new developments, and ensure that statistical field operations are based on the most accurate information available.
