Especially on the 3rd of July. the Galley Festival (Herbivore Festival), held on the Friday coinciding with the week, is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Galley highland festivals have been held on the Galley plateau since the 1400s, and with this feature, it has gained the title of the oldest traditional highland festival in our country. Friday galley festivities are planned for the people participating in the festivities to perform Friday prayers en masse in the open Mosque located in the Galley. Thousands of people from both the region and all over Turkey and abroad come to the plateau to perform Friday prayers and participate in the festivities. It is said that the Ottoman Sultan Fatih Sultan Mehmet performed Friday prayers in the open mosque located in the galley.
