Voltage Rise Calculations by Hand and using Software
Hand calculations of voltage rise for 30 kVA solar inverter system. The software is Cable Pro Web, which you can try for free: https://elek.com/electrical-software/... It's important to understand the hand calculations for voltage rise and that the voltage rise equations are exactly the same as equations for voltage drop. The software calculations are more accurate and resulted in a 16 mm2 cable being used compared with a 25 mm2 cable size for the hand calculation. The software produces a voltage rise report which can be submitted to the power authority for installation approval.
