I Found Brass In My Land Rover Front Diff! (Full Under-Body Service - Series 3)

Is it time for your annual Land Rover Series service? Today on Rustenuts, we are getting down and dirty underneath "Bob," our 1981 Land Rover Series 3 109 FFR, to do a complete under-body lubrication service. We’re draining, flushing, and refilling the front differential, the rare Salisbury rear diff, the main gearbox, and the transfer case. Plus, we're tracking down all the grease nipples on the steering rods and props/UJ joints to get everything properly greased up. If you're doing this yourself, make sure you know the difference between GL4 and GL5 oil! Using GL5 can destroy the yellow/brass components in your classic gearbox. I’m sticking to EP90 GL4 for peace of mind.
