It offers pizza, pasta, Mexican, Japanese, and Arabic food, hamburgers, poke bowls, regional cuisine… a true gastronomic festival by the sea. And for those who enjoy shopping, Manaíra also houses one of the city's busiest commercial areas: Mag Shopping. In addition to the shops, the location has a complete food court with famous chains and restaurants that are very popular with tourists. During the day, the beach conveys a pleasant feeling of safety and tranquility. At night, the activity on the sand decreases considerably, becoming more concentrated in the bars, restaurants, and around the main avenue. That's why many people prefer to enjoy Manaíra especially in the morning and late afternoon, when the weather is more pleasant and the sunset colors the sky of the capital of Paraíba. And there's also an interesting fact about the name Manaíra. The word has indigenous origins, derived from Tupi, meaning something like "fragrant honey" or "fragrant bee." According to old legends of the region, Manaíra was also the name of a beautiful indigenous woman in love with a European colonizer, living a story of forbidden love that ended in tragedy.
