Episode 8 Season 20: Spinners are Winners for Saginaw Bay Walleye

Not far from AuGres, Michigan is one of the least known walleye fishing destinations in the Great Lakes. Part of the famed Saginaw Bay, AuGres is located in what locals call the “Outer Bay” that’s characterized by miles of open water surrounding the Charity Islands chain. Mark and Jake are no strangers to this unique fishery. In late May when the water starts to warm up a “spinner bite” for walleye kicks into high gear. Slow trolling using nightcrawlers and the Yakima Bait HammerTime Walleye Harnesses, is the fast track to limit catches. Our boys use both bottom bouncer sinkers and the Off Shore Tackle Tadpole Diver to dredge up the kind of walleye anyone would be tickled to catch. Fishing 411 is designed to make you a better angler.
