11)GNS3 & FortiGate Lab Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager SEPM Deployment

In this video, we deep dive into a comprehensive network and cyber security lab scenario using GNS3 and VMware Workstation. We walk through the step-by-step deployment, configuration, and client installation of Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) within a flat DMZ network architecture controlled by FortiGate virtual firewalls. Along the way, we also tackle a very common virtual environment limitation by troubleshooting and fixing a low disk space issue via command-line and Windows Disk Management (Disk Partitioning). VMware & Windows Disk Extension: How to bypass VMware snapshot restrictions to expand virtual disk capacity and use Windows Disk Management to extend the C: volume. Flat DMZ Network Transition: Moving away from problematic VLAN sub-interfaces to a flat L2 network structure, configuring FortiGate IPv4 Policies, and fixing "Host Unreachable" routing blocks. Symantec SEPM Installation: Deploying the central management console on a dedicated Windows Server host inside the DMZ segment. Symantec Client Remote Deployment: Pushing antivirus client packages from the DMZ server across the FortiGate firewall directly onto internal network virtual machines. #GNS3 #FortiGate #Symantec #SEPM #NetworkSecurity #VMware #DiskPartition #CyberSecurity #DMZ #FirewallPolicy#NetworkEngineering #SysAdmin
