I Built a Treehouse with My Son | Teaching Him to Survive in the Forest

I built a treehouse with my son — and taught him everything I know about working with wood and surviving in the forest. We picked the tree together, planned the platform together, and built it together — every board measured, every nail hammered by his hands with mine guiding them. He learned to use real tools on a real project: how to cut, how to fasten, how to think through a build before you start it. The treehouse went up between the branches — a elevated platform with walls and a roof, high enough to feel like it belongs in the canopy. The shelter is his. The skills are his now too.
