We've been using smart home components in our apartment for what feels like forever, and currently we're using the system that's been renamed many times, from RWE to Innogy to Livisi. Since Livisi will unfortunately be discontinuing significant parts of its smart home services next year, and especially since the major standard Matter is looming, I've decided we should switch. I weighed up many aspects when making my choice and opted for Bosch Smart Home as our new system. The recently released Controller II/2 will also support Matter in the future, it's a large (hopefully) reliable manufacturer, and I quite like the app so far. So, I ordered my package consisting of the Smart Home Controller II, two water detectors (which will replace the Grohe Sense), a Room Thermostat II, four Window Sensors/Contacts II, two Window Sensors/Contacts II Plus, two Smart Plugs/Smart Adapters, and five Radiator Thermostats. ... In this video, we'll take a look at the Bosch solution, or rather, my reasons for choosing this solution, and get a first look at the devices.
