Texas rap legend Z-Ro officially filmed the historic, first-ever music video for his iconic 2005 anthem "Mo City Don Freestyle". The shoot spanned multiple days and turned into a massive city-wide celebration. While separate parts of the video were filmed in Missouri City at the 2000 Grams dispensary, a massive public portion of the shoot took place on June 3 at 3419 Liberty Rd, Houston, TX 77026 in the historic Fifth Ward. The shoot brought out an enormous crowd of passionate fans reciting the song bar-for-bar alongside candy-coated slab vehicles equipped with custom "elbows". Notable Houston legends and icons pulled up to support, including J. Prince (founder of Rap-A-Lot Records), Lil Keke, and Paul Wall. The decision to film heavily in the Fifth Ward drew some light criticism online from fans asking why a song titled "Mo City Don" wasn't exclusively shot in Missouri City. Local sources clarified that the multiple-day production covered various neighborhoods to capture a full Houston reunion, and the heavy Fifth Ward presence was tied directly to the involvement and financing of J. Prince and Rap-A-Lot Records.
