KEJURDA GRASSTRACK & MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP SERI 2 DI SIRKUIT MARADONA LASIWALA DIBUKA BUPATI SIDRAP

Sidrap Regent Syaharuddin Alrif officially opened the second series of the Regional Grasstrack and Motocross Championship (Kejurda), the "Bupati Cup Star Wars," at the MARADONA Circuit in Lasiwala Village, Pitu Riawa District, Sidrap Regency, on Saturday (May 10, 2025). This event is a prestigious automotive event in Sidrap and has attracted a large audience. The event is scheduled to last two days, Saturday and Sunday (May 11, 2025). This prestigious event was attended by prominent regional figures, including members of the Sidrap Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) and several members of the Sidrap Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD). Also in attendance were the Assistant I, Head of the Youth and Sports Office, the Chairman of the Sidrap Indonesian Motorized Sports Association (IMI), and thousands of spectators from across South Sulawesi, as well as racers. In his remarks, Sidrap Regent Syaharuddin Alrif welcomed all racers to Bumi Nene Mallomo. Syaharuddin Alrif, who is also the Executive Chairman of the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI) for South Sulawesi Province, expressed his appreciation to the committee and racers for the success of this championship. Syaharuddin even plans to make the MARADONA Circuit the host of the Grasstrack and Motocross National Championships in 2025. Furthermore, Regent Syaharuddin Alrif envisions making Sidrap a center for developing the best motorcycle racers in South Sulawesi, and indeed Indonesia. He also announced plans to hold the Motocross and One Price Championships at the Puncak Mario Circuit this coming July, including night racing, which will return to Sidrap. This championship is expected to boost the development of motorsports in Sidrap and South Sulawesi, as well as become a sports tourism attraction for the region. A festive atmosphere and high enthusiasm from the audience characterized the opening of the "Perang Bintang Bupati Cup" Championship. This championship is not just a race, but also a place to find young talent and elevate Sidrap's reputation in the national automotive world.
