Tesla has officially arrived in Uruguay, bringing with it a revolution in the entire electric (and combustion engine) car market. Thousands of vehicles have already been reserved, and thousands of people are wondering if it's worth buying a Tesla, if it "pays for itself," and to what extent it represents savings for each individual situation. In this video, I attempt to answer that question with the information we have available so far, but also considering current uncertainties (for example, how much does insurance for a Tesla cost today, and what happens to the IMESI tax on electric vehicles if your Tesla arrives in Uruguay after January 2027).
