Let's see how to prepare the Kuttanadan Vala Curry . Vaala is a freshwater fish which is the favourite item of Kuttanad natives.To make Vala curry, Clean the fish and cut it into small pieces. Ingredients required are ginger, garlic and shallots. Crush these ingredients and keep it aside. Crush some curry leaves too. Heat an earthen vessel and add coconut oil to it. Add some fenugreek seeds and clove seeds to it. Add the crushed ingredients and some green chillies to it. Saute well. Add grinded coconut, chilly powder, turmeric powder and some water.Close the vessel and let it boil. Add the fish to this.Once it is cooked add some coconut milk to this.
