Body Harvest Speedrun - 47:40 (World Record)

New world record as of 3/15/25. Splits shown are against the previous WR by mikeakabill. UPDATE: A new major trick was discovered in December 2025 to skip the scud missile launch. A full two minutes can be saved from this run just in Siberia 4.    • Body Harvest - Scud Missile Skip Explained   I also made a short companion video with some explanations of a few of the tricks and strats used in the run:    • New Body Harvest Speedrun Notes   Greece 10:15 - not too bad, time saved mostly from a new TNT launch to skip Atlantis. best ever 10:08 (this was not a real gold split) Java 10:54 (total 21:09) - first half up to the gyrocopter was not great, second half and boss just about perfect. best ever 10:46 but very improvable. America 8:40 (total 29:49) - worst mistake of the run in stage 4, -20s, missed one of the devices and got very disoriented, oh well. best ever 8:20, but this was still first ever sub-30 America. Siberia 15:57 (45:47) - pretty good, but small problem landing the jet just before the scud firing, boss did not cooperate. best ever 15:45, but this was first ever sub-46 Siberia. Comet 1:53 (47:40 end) - always tough to get through those gates but about as good of a Comet as you're going to get. it is very difficult just to even finish a run of this game (I lost five world record pace runs before this on Comet anywhere from low-48 to 49:30) so ultimately this was the first sub-49 AND sub-48 run ever. there is still plenty of room to avoid mistakes and use even tougher strats in several places (including a certain Greece bike jump) but I'm pretty happy with this run for now.
