As a mother of two, Kendra discovered hidden mold and water damage in her home were harming her family’s health. After years of research into mold and indoor toxins, and a lot of hard lessons-learned, she became dedicated to helping others by building awareness in online communities and collaborating with fellow advocates to educate the public around the importance of indoor air quality. Kendra is an educator at heart, having spent nearly a decade teaching in Fairfax County Public Schools. After her family’s health journey, Kendra became certified as a NORMI Certified Microbial Professional (NCMP) and Certified Remediator for Sensitized Individuals (NCRSI). Her work at Change the Air Foundation combines her love of teaching with her passion for safer indoor air quality by providing the general public with reliable and actionable information so they can feel confident when talking with professionals and making decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
