Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Reduced Misery: Paul Krugman at TEDxColumbiaSIPA
PAUL KRUGMAN has at least three jobs: he is professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton University, Centenary Professor at the London School of Economics, and, perhaps, his best-known job, as an op-ed columnist for The New York Times. In 2008, Mr. Krugman received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, honoring his work in international trade patterns. In recognition of his work, he received the John Bates Clark Medal from the American Economic Association. His most recent book is End This Depression Now! His previous work, The Return of Depression Economics and the Crisis of 2008 became a New York Times bestseller. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
