Cabin John Park Train Ride - Chance CP Huntington Train

Take a ride from the "cab" of the Cabin John Train, through the fall colors of Cabin John Park, Rockville, MD. This is the last weekend of the operating year. This video is shot from the end of the line, going around the balloon turning loop and the entire ride back uphill to the station...about a 3/4 mile trip! This is one of two Chance CP Huntington Trains that operate here...the parks department also have a third not far away. This particular locomotive is the oldest of the 3, purchased brand new in 1995. I was one of the engineers, managers and "jack of all trades" when I worked here in College years ago. This was the first time in a decade I had ridden the train. I've probably gone around this track hundreds of thousands of times....literally!
