Entry for czarownicykot's contest. Category: Video with a plot Mulan is in love with the princess. If only she weren't a lowly guard. And a woman. [FEMMESLASH WARNING PEOPLE] Summary: [contains spoilers] Mulan is a soldier and secretly a woman. She is in love with Jasmine, the princess. She talks to Jasmine a little, but she's pretty shy since Jasmine is supposed to marry a prince. Jasmine thinks the guard is cute, but is more preoccupied with avoiding her duty to marry. Jasmine sneaks away to the market and is rescued from an angry stall-keeper by Mulan who is at the market as a woman. Jasmine notices she seems familiar and Mulan shares her secret identity. Unfortunately, the two are caught in an almost-kiss by the other guards. ____ So I was very undecided as to how to end this. I almost let Mulan die. I almost had them reunite. But frankly I think Mulan got pretty jerked around and I wanted to give her a second chance, hence the little clip in the credits. I'm considering a sequel where Mulan finds someone a little more worthy of her since Jasmine ended up being a cowardly jerk. Grrr. Heh, half the reason I didn't have them reunite was by the end I didn't think Jasmine deserved Mulan. XD I love this cover. Samn Tsui and Kurt Schneider are freakin' geniuses. Pretty much every song they cover I end up liking more than the original, even if the original was great.
