Rumi - Perca-se e Levante-se

Poems “Lose Yourself”, “Rise Up”, and “Say I Am You” by Rumi. Rumi (Jalal al-Din Rumi), also known as Mawlana, (1207-1273), was the greatest Sufi mystic and Persian-language poet to influence the thought and literature of the Muslim world. Rumi spent his life in Anatolia (present-day Turkey) and was an adherent of Sufism, a practice that consists of cultivating a direct and continuous relationship with God through chants, music, prayers, and fasting. Rumi's teachings are centered on divine love as the path to union with God. He believed that love is the universal force that transcends duality and dissolves the ego. His works, such as the Masnavi and the Divan-e Shams-e Tabrizi, use rich metaphors and stories to explore themes of spiritual transformation, unity, and the search for the infinite. The whirling dervish dance, associated with Sufi tradition, is inspired by his philosophy of transcendence. Rumi's importance transcends the concepts of nationality and ethnicity. His presence is significant in Persian, Turkish, and Central Asian literature, but his poems are widely known and translated into several languages, such as in the United States, where he is considered "the most popular poet in America." 🙏 Purchase Rumi's books through our Amazon link: https://amzn.to/408BmRM List of Sufi books: https://amzn.to/4fOLQfc 📚 Check out our list of recommendations: https://www.amazon.com.br/shop/corvoseco “I asked Shams of Tabriz: 'Who are these who keep silent?' And he: 'When the time comes, they will reveal themselves to your eyes.'” Rumi. “Don’t turn around To look at every beggar who waves – You belong to me! Don’t sell yourself cheaply, For you are priceless.” Rumi. “With the morning tide arose a moon in the sky. From there it descended and gazed at me. Like the falcon that snatches the bird, That moon seized me and crossed the sky. When I looked at myself, I no longer saw myself: In that moon my body had become, By grace, subtle as the soul. I then traveled in a state of soul And saw nothing but the moon. Until the secret of divine knowledge Was fully revealed to me: The nine celestial spheres merged into the moon And the vessel of my being dissolved entirely into the sea.” Rumi.
